Maxi-Cosi Adorra Travel System

This stroller has been on the market for almost a year. I found it when I was helping my friend to choose the best travel system for her baby. What features this stroller has? Is it worth buying?

Maxi-Cosi Adorra comes with Micro Max 30 infant car seat. Let’s start from taking a quick look at it.

This car seat is rear-facing, suitable from 4 to 30 lbs. It has lightweight design and convenient carry handle so transporting baby between home, car and stroller is very easy. You don’t have to worry that your infant will wake up during transition from car to stroller. It is also equipped with Air Protect Side Impact Protection to provide maximum safety for the baby during riding in a car and stroller. There is also anti-rebound bar. The seat fabrics are removable and you can throw them into washing machine. What I like about this infant car seat is that we can take the padding off and put it back on without rethreading the 5-point harness.

Now let’s take a closer look at Adorra stroller. It can accommodate baby up to 50 lbs. It features carriage mode – flat position that is suitable for newborns and infants. There is also Cozi-Dozi infant removable insert that was design to support small infants in a stroller and infant car seat.

Under the reclining seat there is a large expandable basket where you can fit all of your necessities for a long stroll or even a day trip.

The seat is not only reclinable, but also reversible. When the child gets older we can use the toddler seat front or rear facing. The seat padding is also removable and machine washable, just like the infant car seat padding.

Manufacturer added also an adjustable handlebar for parent’s convenience.

Another advantage of this stroller is cup holder and tray included with the stroller. However some parents complain that the cup holder isn’t as sturdy as it supposed to be.

Other users praise this stroller for easy assemble (some parents put this stroller together even in 15 minutes!), great maneuverability and lightweight construction of the infant car seat.

There is also one disadvantage that parents often mention – the stroller has rather small wheels, so they work properly only on flat surfaces. On more bumpy terrain the wheels got stuck. I also wish this stroller has better and larger wheels, especially it has rather high price. Many parents consider it as a luxurious vehicle – it costs around $600! Maybe the manufacturer will upgrade the wheels in another version.

Parents like this stroller also for one-hand folding, however they complain about not compact size after folding.
